Mom's birthday

In the morning, i had to play guitar solo for belinda who was leading for youth. Throughout the week, i tried to contact and ask many many pple but they either can't and don't really want. The syn was out and bel forgot abt her drummer. And best of all, the amp/guit had some problems and basically could not get sound from the amps, so i was strumming as hard as i could to make it as loud as possible. But i still think the pple at the back had to sing acapella, haha.

Today was my mom's birthday. 3 day earlier, i wanted to call and order in advance a chocolate-and-durian cake as a present at this shop that was featured for that yummy cake (to most, not me). I called and they told me it was not available because they haven't found a supplier for the durian. So i was like, ok, u don't have the item your shop is good for, ookkkiiee. Thank God, gloria knew of another shop that does it. I sourced it out, and found out they had an outlet at toa payoh, and i could just go in and buy too. Managed to rush down after dog training to pick it up. By some strange, God-blessed chance, gloria came by with grace and her bf, so she gave me a lift there and back to town. I had absolutely no cash for a cab..

However, when i got to paragon 30mins early from our lawry's dinner, my dad called and said postponed to 730, 1.5 hrs later! So i passed the cake to the restaurent first, told them it was a surprise and serve it after out meal. Dad picked me back to go home as taxi queue was way way too long, took a shower and we all came back. I seriously think the pple running lawry's need to go for management courses.. They did not pass the msg on clearly to the staff, and to my horror, our waitress came up to us during our meal and said that we would be charged $2 each if we want to go ahead and serve our own birthday cake! MY GOODNESS!!!! AARRRGGGHHH!!!! After all the trouble i went through to get the cake there and in secret, this is what i get! So my mom said nvm, we'll just bring the cake home ourselves, and to just serve their free cake (only for birthday person). SO SAD!! It's still in the fridge now cos we all too full (and i no mood) to cut cake after dinner. Sigh, owells, you can't win them all!
