Vancouver Island

Currently now in vancouver, Canada. Temperature is great, but only if u're standing under the sun, it would be too chilly otherwise. Been here for about 3 days now, been overeating quite a bit. In fact, just ate at this great place uncle tony brought us to (he just arrived) called Milestone's, and although we finished eating at ard 4 (now it's 6pm), my stomach still has that very full feeling!

First day we arrived about 1pm, and after checking in and resting a while, we went to check out Gastown. Apparently i have been here w my sis and mom before, but can hardly remember the place. After that, dinner at Joe Fortes, another famous eating place, mainly for seafood like Dungeness Crab, but my roast prime rib was beautiful. Our server look and is as farnie as einstein on kids central too! Went back to the hotel dead tired from jet lag and KO for the night. Btw, we are staying at the Crowne Plaza and got fantastic rates all thanks to uncle tony.

Next day, woke up early to ahve the complimentary breakfast buffet and off on a day tour to Vancouver Island, gotta take the grey line tours and a ferry across. There we saw the famous Butchant Gardens and the museum at Victoria. It was one of the best museum i have ever seen, very fuin, interactive and innovative! But due to time constraints, we could only finish one level and had to leave to catch the ferry back. It was a full day, from 845 till 10 at night. Didnt really have lunch (unless u count italian gelatos at the garden, very delicious) but had a buffet dinner on the ferry.

Today we had a relaxed breakfast buffet again and took a cab to Stantley Park (like the stantley cup?) and walked ard. Had a horse drawn carriage tour too! While my sis and dad were looking thru the art pieces of the artist that lined along at one place, like in paris, me and mom walked further in to see. Even sat on a miniature train ride, which actually is for kids, but was pretty comfortable having a ride thru the forest so we went ahead. Took a bus back, which cost us 10 bucks, so we might as well have taken a cab, cos we still had to walk 2 blocks down. Met uncle tony back at the hotel and rested there for a while, while waiting for uncle seng meng and auntie margaret. Dunno why they took so long so we went out for lunch at 2pm instead. Now me and my mom came back to the hotel first since my dad and sis wanted to shop, so trying not to sleep so tonight wont hv problem sleeping, decided to use the free internet access instead haha. Tonight there is some big annual celebration thingy. Apparently its a fireworks competition b/w 4 countries: china, czech republic, canada and mexico. Every night one country would have a half hour display, and tonight is the last night. Mexico's turn is tonight, and then all 4 would have a short turn each as it is the last night, and then the winner would be announced. Suppose to be really good, but hope the crowds wont be too bad for us! Half a million expected to be at the front...owells, update more when i can! Leaving for the cruise tomorrow, so cya.
