San Francisco and vegas

My parents and lance came with me to SF to help me get settled in (i swear its an excuse for a holiday). Finally found out y so full (both flights and hotels). The Apple convention was held on the very next day we arrived!! That's when they announced abt the iphone. Lance had to pay so much for a business class ticket (we were upgraded free hee hee, so i got to sit w him) and only stayed for a week. He paid more than how much my parents gave me to last my entire stay here!! We did contemplate whether he shouldn't come and just give me money to spend instead, haha. One could fly back and forth 4 times w the amt he paid for 1 round trip. :/ Oh and thanks again to glor, bra and shan who came to send me off! And of cos to glor's amazing talent to find lost items haha.

He rented a car here too, ex but he could bring us ard. Good too cos gotta buy tons of stuff for my room and we had tons of luggage and shopping to carry. Lucky i brought my own pillow haha. Hadda buy sheets, blankets, bloster (dont hv here so got a body pillow), stationary (US uses a diff paper size so i had to come here to buy)and cleaning supplies. I registered and everything so it was good. We even went to Lake Tahoe for snow boarding and skiing.

And in the weekend, had a last min decision to go Las Vegas (i only went cos lance didn't mind going, and we didn't mind riding the roller coasters but could only do one cos so cold, everything else closed). Stayed at New York New York, it was very good! My beer-battered chicken was BRILLANT too. Watched Le Reve at the Wynn, and paparoach (animal comedy, so cool, glor u'll love it, he trained 13 ordinary household cats tt he rescued at the shelter too! i bought the cat training vcd haha) at Aladdin. Went to see Luxor, Excalibur, Paris, Mirage, Bellagio, MGM, Treasure Island, Caesar Palace, Circus Circus. Oh and dolphins and wild cats at the siegfried and roy enclosure. And shopping at the factory outlets, M&M's, coca-cola, adidas..tt's sorta thing. Lance's room was really really nice and big too. Then both of us came back first on mon night while my parents stayed till friday. Cos of united stoopid screwup system, and a few bad choices, i could not be boarded on the very ex flight (of which its my dad's fault, trying to safe a few dollars, end up wasting a couple of hundred each person for tixs) and had to be on standby on the next flight, which was delayed, which i almost didn't get on cos they didn't call me correctly, which baggage was delayed too. So poor lance had to wait for me at SF airport for like 3 hrs...

School here is ok, and once again the stoppid US system forced me to change my classes once again. I dont think i'm EVER gonna migrate here or stay long term! They are so inflexible! I've joined the ICF (intervarsity CF) today during the involvement fair and haven't been to Kenny's church cos i found out its ouside SF. SO maybe when i'm more settled down here la. Ok i gtg for a night class now 615-955pm! Gosh. Then maybe meet my friends at the pub nearby (lucky i'm 21 already). At least pple here drink like to just hang out (like at gelatoes or smt) and not to get high and drunk like a lot of pple back home. And no smoking allowed! That's the best. I drink to get warm haha.
