Alaska cruise

On sunday morning, while my family and uncle meng and auntie margaret (fm now on M&M for short) went to see the Pemberton bridge (spelling unsure), i went to have breakfast, church and lunch with my old jc friend, Carrie Lim! Haven't seen her since A levels ended cos she migrated to Vancouver, and since she would be gone to South Korea for exchange by the time i got back from Alaska, I had to rush to arrange to meet. She didn't change much though, haha, and if u knew her, u'll shake ur head and sigh. Haha!

The Infinity was great! I wont go into details just yet, easier to do so w photos, but there were a whole bunch of stuff to do onboard and onshore. On board had a great gym, warm pool, jacuzzi, sauna, arcade, entertainment every night, formal dinners (belch!), running track, games room, lounges, buffets, restaurants (food was free! i ate in 1 day what i would normally eat in 3 days!), spa, thermo-smt pool, movie theatre...i felt a hint of the rich life! Not that hard getting used to actually haha...oops. And when we went ashore, we walked ard town, took on a tour ard the town (the tours to book fm the ship were really ex!) and mainly look at shops cos that's wad the tourist town is mostly abt. We stopped at sitka, up to see the glaciers, down to juneau and s-smt, will find out the name. In fact, at the last stop i was suppose to go for a helicopter ride cum dog sled ride on the mem-smy glacier, but cos the clouds were too low, they covered the dog area, so was cancelled. Sigh, so sad hor.

Anyways, back to vancouver and flew straight to Edmonton, just my family. One guy at the airport was so irritating but that's another story. I LOVE EDMONTON! Glor, we are DEFINITELY going there together one day ya! Or at least, i love west edmonton mall haha, cos it was so huge, we didn't even step out of it! There are so many things in the mall: tons of shops, our hotel, amusement park, roller coasters, waterpark, ice skating ring, arcades, food courts, penguin enclosure, performing seals, flamingo enclosure, petting farm...etc. amazing! Didnt have time to do all but at least the free pass given by the hotel has no expiry date...hee hee. Altho my mom and dad didnt enjoy it much. Said wasted to go there. And dad who is too scared to drive here kinda spoiled mom's mood too...

Instead of a 3 hr drive ($50 rental), had to take a cab to town ($30) and take a coach to Calgary ($60 x 4 = $240 + $30 = $270!). At least the coach was REALLY comfy. So uncle meng's bro picked us up, spent some time walking ard the area, and went back to their place for bbq. In fact tonight is M&M's silver anniversary. I asked auntie Maraget why they didn't eat out by themselves since, u know...but bro-in-law had already planned it, and invited a few other pple too, so...well...it's ok i guess. Haha, what a wacky anniversary trip! Now back at the hotel and using the business centre. This hotel is a good deal that they got for us since M&M was here already, half price for peak season since just opened and a couple of facilities not ready yet (gym and pool) but we not gonna use anyways, no time. Tomorrow got a whole day planned, so i better head off to sleep now, good nite!

ps: its REAL early notification but my school has let me know that i have receive the placement of San Francisco! They got early deadline so in fact i gotta hand in all my documents on tues, help!
