Goalie?? Middleman??

Yesterday and today weren't as fruitful as i wished it could be. After my class on mon morn, i headed down to lance's office at hillview, had lunch there and wanted to study. Got a bit distracted to help pack their new 2 lb dog food container, sticking labels and stuff, so got to study half a chapter only. Not to mention i fell asleep while doing so haha.

Around 4.30, we both went to farmmart (a super ulu place) to see Pauline, my hand-reared birds supplier. She's real cool, does her 'birds' business cos she REALLY loves them, hardly goes home so she can sleep with them! She's one of the few i know who's in the business for the love, not the money, and is VERY nice and honest. So she showed us a few new ones and i picked up a couple of mice for squishy. I also had a discussion with her about a friend in SMU, who's in the bird business too, and needs someone to help him import live birds. I was afraid she might get the smaller share of the pie as he is quite business-savy, so i warned her. She actually wanted me to approach another lady from Singapore Aviary (dela) who's using her import license as well, but i was afraid they might cut her out of the deal. So she made me to be her go-inbetweener instead! Yea! So now i'm a middleman, i mean middle-person. Although most prob won't take a cut for myself (i'm too nice, aren't i?), i can at least have free (i mean cheaper) exotic birds whenever i want, or at least when i CAN. hee hee.

Was too lazy to go for muay thai physical trg, so went out w lance instead wanting to buy goalie gloves as my coach wants to start trg me to be a goalie. (I'm a left striker now, smt left wing) Couldn't find, so bought a soccer jersey top and went home.

Today, i tried to do my work again, to finish up that chpt and do the assgms. Did 3/4 before i had to go for soccer trg at turf city cos i keep lazing ard and watching dvd. Had my 1st official trg as a goalie. It was pretty interesting, except for the dives. I'm too bone-y! Hurts my thigh and arm bone to do it. Plus my delicate skin kept getting scratches here and there. Plus my soaked shirt/shorts/undies were filthy and feeling gross (it was drizzling, so the field was muddy). Plus i found out i'm slightly allergy to a lot a lot of grass, was getting a bit itchy. Trg is a bit more slack than normal but i think i don't want to continue as a goalie, wouldn't mind to be a reserve one tho. Started thinking abt this when we had a friendlie w the touch rugby girls and their coach. Hardly any action to do, but when there is, it is so stressful cos a goal may be conceded. It's like wait, wait wait for the action and when it comes, u may just make ur team lose. Plus, u can't do much to get back the points. And i don't feel the excitement and love for the game when i'm not tackling people, bumping here and there, snatching, dribbling, shooting and scoring! So after the half time, i asked and played left striker. We won like 8-2 haha. I gotta have a word with my coach... He thinks i've got potential for this position, but...

Den rushed home, lance fetched thank goodness. Took a quick shower and drove to meet my cg. We had a farewell dinner for agnes and ah lee, who are leaving on thursday. Went to TCC for supper and drinks, then heading for home. Me, Marcus, Joshua, my sis and her bf were in the car. Since it was quite late, we decided to send ah lee back (11pm), who stays at wattens estate. In the end, we went in to see his new doggy and left at 12. So had to send marcus since it was so late already, at west coast/clementi. Den since we were nearer, sent her bf back at alexandra. Finally got back at 1plus. Man, what is this world coming too?? 2 girls sending 3 guys HOME??? hahaha.... things sure have changed...

Well, got home, finished up my work, and here i am! Lucky tmr's morn class cancelled. Bwahaha! ok, nite nite.
