Busy and greatest wk in SF!
Had an indoor soccer match at 9pm at koret. And dedicated to exercising 3 times a wk, mon, wed and fri, so went early to workout. woohoo!
Tue:
Attended cell group at Gillson Hall under Real Life, the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship group in USF. Nice people! Studied Eph 4:1-16 and the beginning really struck me...
Wed:
Went to Uncle Jim's place in the East Bay. He is the pastor that Kevin put me in contact with. Had a fantastic dinner at his place...with pork ribs, chicken drumsticks that were broiled for over 2-3hrs, great potatoes and garlic bread..tt's mainly what I ate at least. We watched a part of the Jesus vcd too, so he could explain to the rest of the international students what is Good Friday about, and what had happen on Good Friday and why it's so impt to Christians.
Thurs:
Went w the french (iza, adeline, philippe and pierre) to Oakland to watch a NBA match. My ticket was lost just as we went up the stairs to the stadium, sucky. I hadda "talk" my way in,. and batt eyes and look real innocent and poor thing and all, then the security finally let me in, hahaha.
This is us just arrived outside the stadium to watch the
Golden State Warriors vs the Phoenix Suns.
Insides and the oh-so-cool mini blimp that is remote controlled! and the guy zooms it all ard and hover it just right above everyone, swooping real low at times..wish i could hv one...
Slam DUNK!
Atmosphere was amazing, esp when the home team runs in! So cool. Had a band and singers...
Cheerleaders...
Dancers...
Mascot who runs ard and 'plays' with pple all over the stadium, and he can breakdance too! And got camera pple and a emcee that kept saying "MAKE SOME NOISE!", and they all go ard during the timeouts and b/w quarter games to get the audience involved in games.
Like i said, electrifying atmosphere...
Final score board. yeah!
Fri:
i skipped french on friday cos had a chance in a lifetime to go sailing in the SF bay with erick! His fiance, craig, is from a sail club. And so i went, tog w adeline...the feeling as we leave the pier, is AMAZING...can't wait to go sailing w adeline in France next time! She just got her license and new boat too.
A mini Taj Mahal near the marina.
Me at the bow of the boat.
Sailing under the GG bridge. Waters were so choppy as wind and currents all very strong.
Craig taught and let each of us sail, it was so cool!
The whole crew, hiding behind an island for sun and NO wind. Having high class snack...sandwiches, crackers, cheese and wine. Erick on front left and Craig on front right. Found out Craig used to be a big shot in Oracle, and then a CEO of another software co, which was bought by Oracle after that. Now he's gonna take a year off just travelling...mans! Guy in green is from Norway and behind him is his married partner fm peru too. And the last guy at the back is an american. So basically, me and adeline weren't just the only girls on board, we were the only straight pple onboard too.
Sat:
Suppose to have gone to alcatraz, but all fully booked. So me, adeline, iza, PM, chris and shiel walked ard the pier and was heading to the Palace of the fine arts. But we lost adeline and iza on the way and they were the only 2 who had no hp! So me and the guys went ahead, and no, chris, it was NOT near, like i said. Walked ALL the way there and looked ard and fed birds and slack on the grass in the sun and tell each other psychological jokes and riddles... it was fun. den rushed back (took 2 wrong buses) as me and PM had a soccer game. Found out ltr richard picked the girls up and they were home already, irritating. So they and greg took my frisbee to go play in the golden gate park.
Pier 39 at the fisherman's wharf
Bubba gump!
