accident at lone mountain, start of movie kick...

Thursday afternoon, lance came by late, at 4pm, to help with my assignment for IBA, it was so frustrating but he managed to settle everything on his comp and the net. Celine sent me a photo just b4 i left home, but i just d/l it w/o looking, till i went to class. On the way there, lance drove me but the roads were close so hadda go ard. THEN i saw the photo...

(the field on the left back is part of lone mountain, the part where i regularly walk to and fro from Loyola Village and main campus) Received a couple of emails regarding the crash. A usf student was speeding, causing another usf driver (the one there) to swerve, hit a couple of pple and crash into the home. There were cops, road closure and helicopters. One who was hit was the wife of the dean of education and she died on the spot. The other guy is in critical condition in the hospital...

In class, my group (me, john quito and taryn) hadda sign up for a web server and pay. We finalized our web site and i added the needed WordPress (prog for blogging) during the weekend. Meanwhile, lance went out to buy food to cook dinner. So came back ard 9ish and ate together. He tried unsuccessfully to fry tang hoon, but nuggets, veggies, chicken was ok. Den he dropped me off at a new bar my friends and i were going: Trader's Sam. Drinks were really really good, and interesting. Cool hang out place, and best of all not noisy. Wasn't that delighted cos lance wouldn't/couldn't stay w me, so was just enjoying the boxing match on tv. A guy was trying to pick Geselle up, and his friend (there were 4 of them) started to talk to me. Even let me drink like half of their thingy (can't rem name of drink, but its v nice and in a bowl for 4 pple to share). So we was just sitting at the bar, talking and watching tv and drinking, and i was so surprised when he said, "yea we should go find a hotel and chill"! I was so shocked, it was hard to think fast, and i was like, "errr...naaahhh, i don't think so..." haha! That was the nicest thing i could think to say without taking so long..then "i appreciate the offer but no thanks"

I mean, if u look the way i do, dress the way i do, have no signals the way i do, to get picked up for u-know-wad, i decided there must be 3 reasons. 1) he's desperate 2) he's loco (crazy) 3) on a competition w his friends. Maybe even all three... Well a couple of girls keep looking at us fm across the bar and smiling and laughing so i encouraged him to go join them and excused myself to the toilet. So ya, after that i kept close to my friends haha. But i gotta admit, it was a good laugh and it sure brighten up my day.

Friday i didn't wanna meet lance cos the situation was too irritating to do so. So after french, had lunch w greg and we planned to go see Bridge to Terabithea (a movie). Lance and alvin invited me to join them for lunch but i didn't want to. So went back home, rested for an hour, went for my indoor soccer 'training' at koret. At first only me, pierre, stein and his friend, so after shooting a while, played a 2 on 2 game. Den 3 on 2 when another guy came. And he left and another 2 guys came, 3 on 3. So basically, the first 3 of us played the whole time and was so tiring cos so little pple and hadda run ard a lot, good exercise! Played till abt 530, and we left, but on the field, me and pierre decided to see the women soccer match going on, but once we walked in and sat down, it was over. So we did some shooting again! haha...

Rushed home, showered, check movie shedules and snacked (was so hungry). In the end, philippe, Geselle, Chris, Greg, Pierre, Monica all came to watch movie w us. Was too late to catch the 815 show at AMC Vaness, so went for the 940 one at the Sony Metreon. Had time to eat so ate something like hor fun at this cool asian store on lvl 1. Movie was good and after that, i didn't join them to a pub cos was tired fm soccer, so went back, watched a bit of cartoon network and slept.

Sat i didn't go snowboarding/skiing cos tot lance would've drive us there, but he 'couldn't' cos of his friends and it was too late for me to sign up as it was full. But good thing, cos i forgot the CNY parade was that day. I made really yummy garlic mash potatoes after i woke up and ate lunch. A bunch of us then met up at greg's apartment and went to town early. Pierre had to buy credits for his phone and change a pair of shoes he bought at Payless shoe store. And i went to Macy's to see if they found my beanie, but no, i guess someone took it. Anyways, we watched from in front of Macy's. Greg carried me on my shoulders for a while so i could have a good look. Then i climbed onto a lamp post. And then some of us climbed up from under the bleachers and had really good seats haha. It was good but lion dance not as spectacular as it should be.

Walked to chinatown and found a restaurant. Had a pretty good buffet for just $11! Went to this pub for the birthday a friend of the french. It was pretty noisy, but had 2 levels. Alvin and the other two left for Singapore that night, so lance came and joined us there. All the guys hadda pay $5 entrance fee so it was good to be a girl. Left for home, and den went to lance's hotel.

Was too tired to go for church in the morn, so planned to go for the evening service. We went for lunch at the marina and then to see SPCA and another org like that nearby and they were really really cool! Had such a major feeling to adopt a pet or smt, really really missing all my pets back home. BUT, feeding and petting all the animals there got us all so preoccupied that we forgot the night service! Crap.... So went back to my place, lance bought a pizza while we did laundry and went back to the hotel.

Monday was back to school for me, so that sucked. Lance dropped me off for class while he went to check out. He picked me from school after i was done, and we had food back in my apartment. Went to lone mountain, lie down in the sun on the grass and read. Watched a movie w lance after that: Music and Lyrics.

Tue my alarm clock didn't go off (really!) and woke 10min from the start of my 830 class so i hadda give tt a miss. Went to my classes after that but my last class (conversation spanish) was cancelled so tt was cool. Wanted to surprise lance but he went to circuit city so tt sucked. After lunch, we headed to the zoo! Walked ard till it closed. Went to Petmart at Daly City and back to San Fran. And dinner (he had laksa at tt store) at the metreon, then watched another movie haha: Astronaut Farmer.

Wed school again. Then horseriding at Half Moon Bay. We did trail rides and beach rides, really cool. But lance got abrasion haha. Went to Sunnyvale to check out a new Pet Hotel but it wasn't open. Went to Palo Alto to check out IKEA there (i needed a laundry thingy, but bought a couple of boxes instead). Had swedish meatballs yummy yum! Bought some back home too! Went to lance's sis place ard there and he showed me ard the lake there, so beautiful. Went home and greg was there. We 3 went to pedro to hang out and play ping pong. Was so so fun. Got home after a pizza really late tho.

Thurs is today. Went for classes as per normal. After lunch at my school, we went to visit the fort and beach that is under the San Fran side of the Golden Gate bridge. Bought bread and went to the explor-smt and fed lotsa lotsa birds haha. Den back home for a power nap and in class now. Well actually can go home already, but i really wanted to finish this!
