CNY dinner

Spanish test was good! After that just went home and chilled the whole day. Once again, can't rem wad i did on that thur. i think i cleaned up the apartment and such, after all, cny was soon! And then to the my night class. Left early as usual (comp, me and school still hv a bad relationship) and went out somewhere i can't rem at night. And on friday, my only class of the day was cancelled. I accidentally went too early, an hour early, so decided to just read my text instead of walking back and forth. But abt 15 min b4 class, prof came round to put up a sign that class is cancelled. I was like wwad the..? But on the way down fm lone mountain (LM), she told me tt her husband was in a motorcycle accident and was in the hospital. And i was like oh no.... So just chilled out the whole day, i think.

On sat, went to Lake Tahoe, to North Star for snowboarding at 5am! I tot it would be freezing but it was so warm, and i layered too much. It was awesome! A fren fm pedro sorta taught us, well not really, we still basically just kept trying ourselves. There was like 3 of us who nvr really snowboarded before...but the other 2 were kinda slow and one dropped out eventually, just sat at the bottom of the beginner's slope. Met another guy called charles fm korea who were on the bus too and they had taken lessons for snowboarding, but he said was waste of $ and we decided to go for it ourselves. Found out we were pretty much the same skill so it was fantastic, going up and down tog. We could do Falling Leaf heel side, but toe side wasn't good enuff. Took a couple of hard backward tumbles down when tried to Carve, which is basic snowboarding. So we prac to do toe side Falling Leaf to get the hang of it first, and by the end of the day, we both could more or less do the Carving when we went all the way down the mountain (instead of on the gondola). Got back abt 9pm, ate and slept.

On sun, was suppose to go to Neighborhood church (kenny's church in the East Bay) but woke up with a majorly sore neck so couldn't go. Must've been from the hard knocks! Was aching everywhere and so tired. So pretty much rested the whole day. It was 1st day of CNY incidentally. All my roommates were not in since yest, one on a wk long valentines outing, one w parents and one with her bf i think. Cos it was a long weekend (called black wkends here). So 1st time in my entire life i was alone and home for CNY! So sad and pathetic... So went out to clement st to the asian mkts to buy stuff for CNY dinner on tue. As expected, most were closed but finally found a grocery open so tt was gd. Bought dried shrimp, scallops, fat choy, tangerine....planned my cny dinner too.

On mon, it was President's Day so no school. Had been studying for my international business (IB) exam on wed so continued with tt.

Tue was back to school, but excited cos lance was arriving today! So after school, i wrote out my recipes for fat choy with mushrooms and fishball noodle soup with tang hoon. When he came, no one else was ard, and we stayed in for a while b4 heading out to Daly City for Ranch 99, an asian mkt. Bought stuff there and food like char siew, roast pork, soya sauce chicken and rice.

Came back, he was tired so he slept while i cooked. Maurine came over on time, she's a singaporean, our mothers are collegues, and she helped to cook. All the other friends came ard 8pm, like greg, PM, iza, adeline, philippe. My roommates all kinda ate a little too. Was really yummy! So was satisfied... adeline even made a choc cake fm scratch for dessert, but of cos i didn't eat none haha. After tt all went home cos school tmr, which was good cos lance and i was exhausted too.

Next day, we both went to Mel's for breakfast before he left for the airport. I did my work and went to school as usual.
