my version of work and travel USA

Well, past few wks i've just been studying and completing all my schoolwork so that i wont be so packed last min, esp since i gotta pack and move out by 20th May. ALSO, been busy planning and such for travelling after school ends, deciding where to go and who to go with and how to go.

Right now i'm in my LAST class of the semester ironically, in International Biz. So far i've finished ALL work, only left with my Internet Biz Application website (about done i suppose, pls go to www.doingthatexpletive.com and go play some games, leave some comments, PLEASEEEE), and 1 IB test on sat, 1 spanish and 1 french exam next wk. So feeling pretty good about it.

And after debating and comparing choices, this is my travel itinerary: fly to hawaii with philippe (french guy fm barcelona) for a wk, 2 more spanish girls will join us halfway --> fly to oakland and spend the day there --> in evening, fly to seattle on my own and meet Charlie (an ACJC council mate who is on SMU exchange too!) and his friends --> found Orchid, a really great childhood friend, there too, so will definitely meet up, yeah! --> fly to denver --> drive to yellowstone park --> drive to Mt. Rushmore (the faces of the presidents in the rocks) --> drive across South Dakota, stopping at Rapid City and Sioux City --> drive on to Minneapolis --> fly to Chicago --> fly back to SF --> fly back to Singapore!

SO had been real busy finding cheapest flights, coordinating the timing with friends and all. Had ok deals with flights, great deal for hawaii flight BUT so stupid and book hotel much later, so tt not so good deal, finding cheapest car and kind of car we need. Gonna discuss w Richard to plan the roadtrip route. The other hotels they were in charge, but i needed a place to stay in Chicago. My AC Council president, Samuel Lim, son of previous Minister of Information, Communications and the Arts in Singapore, is living there. So contacted him and would be spending the night w him. Yea! Free accommodation! Also asked friend for permission to leave my luggages at their place when i leave for my travels too, and she was so nice, volunteering to pick me from Loyala and after, fetch me to the airport even! Thank God for sending accomodating friends and allowing them to trust me!

Other things that have been happening:
- went Napa Valley Wine Tasting with Melanie, her bf and 2 other of her friends, it was cool. surprised i could take more wine than the guys! Then again, all americans only haha, no europeans.
- Melanie and Monica (my housemates) had a face-off, and i was once again strandled in my room with the RA trying to talk things thru, but things just got ugly. Basically, Melanie wasn't happy abt Monica finishing work late and she and her bf showering ard midnight (shower is in their room and they finish work at 1130pm); and Monica, already talking a lot of shit fm her like she not clearing trash (i couldn't believe when she called it a "communal trash", think what? the rest of us just leave trash there and the rubbish disappears by itself??), she don't clean the appartment, doesn't contribute to stuff for the appartment AT ALL, locking monica out of her own room cos she and bf are uh-hmm-ing, BUT what she couldn't stand was after all that, she was nagging at Monica for being unreasonable and selfish and couldn't even tell her the problem but wrote her a note (and she's studying public relations! haha) which she didnt bother to read of cos. And she told pple she confronted the problem with Monica and that it was Monica that didnt wanna try to resolve it. ANYways, it was ugly and stupid if u asked me, and Melanie even wanted me to swap rooms with her, which i refused of cos, and end up complaining that Monica might cause "bodily harm" to her (btw, monica, a filipino, is like my size, and melanie, an american, is much bigger) and so moved out to another apartment in LV. SO whatever, i'm not complaining.
- No offense intended, but i prefer to work with non-americans. Through observation, most of americans are lazier in their work and don't really bother to strive to do better, so, erm, ya. I can't imagine them surviving in Singapore's education system mans. Its one thing to study hard and play hard, but I hear more about them on the pill, getting piss drunk, fucking ard than doing work. Except complains abt having a lot of work to do.
